ISOC Nepal organized 3 domestic level awareness programs on New Technology-New Crime-New Legal Regime targeting lawyer community. The first program was held in Butawal, Rupendahi District of Western Development Region on 18th February. All together 60 Advocates took participation in the program. Similar program was held on 19th in Dhangarhi, a major hub of Far western Nepal. 50 Advocates were present in the program. Finally, the campaign end at Gularia, Bardia District of Mid Western Nepal where 55 Advocates benefited from the program.
Advocate Babu Ram Aryal, ISOC Nepal President, Mr. Sachin Sing Karki, Security Expert and Member of ISOC Nepal Internet Security Sub Committee member presented papers on effect of new technology and legal response. Ms. Kamala Adhikari, Finance Officer of Center for Law and Technology coordinated the events.
The program was jointly organized by Internet Society Nepal, Center for Law and Technology Pvt. Ltd and Nepal Democratic LAwyers Association .
